When we lived in Florida in 1973 there was a hurricane warning, I didn't know what to do, the neighbor said buy canned food and fill the bathtub with water....so that is what I did. :)Far Side of Fiftyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07995757632158408442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8791768581127769171.post-24335438921000342982016-10-05T17:58:21.206-07:002016-10-05T17:58:21.206-07:00Keep safe. Seems that the "weather gods" are
in some kind of fury as from what we here in Australia received
and still getting down south.
Good to know that you have stocked up - in your area I would have
thought this was mandatory????
Good luck and IF THE EMERGENCY SERVICES say "GET OUT" - get out
and follow instructions. They KNOW what they are doing.
Cheers
ColinHuggybearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17517411617275367396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8791768581127769171.post-73567182529461394652016-10-05T12:08:17.594-07:002016-10-05T12:08:17.594-07:00Reading is always a great alternative!Reading is always a great alternative!Linda Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17237332954767037400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8791768581127769171.post-69002261391105108902016-10-05T11:24:10.893-07:002016-10-05T11:24:10.893-07:00Took us awhile to find water too. We bought a couple of battery operated lights today and we have a couple of DVD players that operate on batteries, so we're charging them up today. Stay safe, unless things change for the worse we're not going anywhere.Mac n' Janethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05732924562630675589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8791768581127769171.post-4295831648751175102016-10-05T10:34:48.585-07:002016-10-05T10:34:48.585-07:00Not sure if I have ever left a comment, but I do r...Not sure if I have ever left a comment, but I do read your site--great photos by the way--
I also live on the east coast of Flordia--just about 2 miles as the crow flies from the beach in a Senior Apt complex--so DD and I are leaving this evening to go to Gainsville and then on up into GA for a couple days (Atlanta area)
hope your mom and your are all safe and stay that way--
love and laughter, di QUILTING IS BLISSFUL, DIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09347815945554965185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8791768581127769171.post-17683032182833943882016-10-05T10:11:25.415-07:002016-10-05T10:11:25.415-07:00Hope all that preparation is unnecessary and that ...Hope all that preparation is unnecessary and that it loses its momentum.
