On My Walk This Morning

"People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don’t even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child…our own two eyes. All is a miracle."

  1. This is beautiful! You can almost see through the petals on the giant sunflower.

  2. I've just been reading about how we are not as connected to the Earth because we don't take the time to marvel at it's wonders x

  3. Never a true word said, it is indeed a miracle everyday in what we see.

  5. Yes the Buddhist Monk of Vietnam, Thich Nhat Hanh, is a most inspiring person.
He certainly saw everything, unlike today, when people have their eyes GLUED to
photos or facebook etc on their mobile/cell phones!
I can be the only person in a train carriage or at the rail station who hasn't got his
eyes glued to a little contraption and his ears uncovered so as to hear announcements.

There is more to being alive than having a cell/mobile phone dictate your life! Strange how
we survived without these gadgets - and we were HAPPY.

Lovely first day of Spring here in Brisbane, Australia.
The format of your blog, Cynthia, appears to have changed overnight???
    Cheers
    Colin

  7. But don't you feel rich when you do take all that in, and grateful to live in such beauty.

  10. My husband went out for a walk this morning and now I feel guilty I didn't go too. I'm just not an early riser.
