She is a stray from Texas, fostered by a kind soul in Houston, and came to Minnesota thanks to a Delta Airlines program that unites homeless pets with families who want to adopt them.
She seems to be fitting in quite well from the photos I got this weekend.
Definitely some chihuahua in there and maybe miniature dachshund? She weighs 9 whole pounds and looks like she could fly with those ears.
No school in Minnesota today as there is a big snowstorm. Yesterday she put on her brakes when they tried to take her outside and said nope, she's a southern belle who does not "do" snow! But I bet when she sees how much fun the boys are having she will forget herself and have a ball chasing them down the sledding hill.
Hope the family really enjoys their new dog.
ReplyDeleteThe boys will have years of fun with their new playmate.
ReplyDeleteOne thing for sure - that dog won't eat them out of house and home.
ReplyDeleteIt's good for young kids, especially boys, to have a dog.
They can learn from the dog...........how to care and respect.
I am sure Mason will have heaps of fun.
Great to know that Delta airlines has this programe. I wonder under the circumstances does
TURNIP TOP approve????????????
Cheers
Colin
Great idea to adopt a stray. Extra work for your daughter though but great for the children.
ReplyDeleteLooks a nice dog. Great idea adopting a dog.
ReplyDeleteOh she looks like she's going to fit in well. And look at the happiness on the little one's face!
ReplyDeleteShe's gorgeous! What fun the children will have with her 💗
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweety, so glad she found a new home. That little boy's face in the first photo is priceless! So happy.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she is settling well and enjoying their company. A delight to see the joy they are sharing.
ReplyDeleteDear Cynthia, thank you for stopping by my blog and letting me know about the memoir book club. I look forward to learning more about it. I'm just learning how to market as a self-published author, and so I need all the help I can get!
ReplyDeleteNow about this new dog! How wonderful for your daughter and her sons. I didn't know that Delta did this. I always fly Delta when I go to visit friends in Idaho, and I've always been impressed with the airline. Now I'm even more so. I lived in Minnesota (Stillwater by the St. Croix River) for 38 years. I hope your daughter loves the state as much as I did. The cross-country skiing there is fabulous.
The photographs you shared just show how much the boys already love their new friend! Peace.
Enjoy the new member.. :)
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable, but doesn't appear to have very thick fur. She might freeze in the snow.
ReplyDeleteShe needs a sweater coming from the south. She will be better next year because she will become accustomed to the colder temps gradually. She sure is cute! Chihuahua mostly I would guess:) Hope she got a cute name!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a new dog for kids. It the perfect match
ReplyDeleteThis melts the heart :)
ReplyDeleteSorry for my long absence, and I hope you are having a good weekend!
What a lovely story - I don't think my crazy poodle would do snow either! How gorgeous.
