Boys + Pup = LOVE

My daughter's family got a dog this weekend.  Three of the four boys are old enough for some pet responsibility, and the fourth, well the fourth is Mason and his job is just to love her.

She is a stray from Texas, fostered by a kind soul in Houston, and came to Minnesota thanks to a Delta Airlines program that unites homeless pets with families who want to adopt them.

She seems to be fitting in quite well from the photos I got this weekend.

Definitely some chihuahua in there and maybe miniature dachshund?  She weighs 9 whole pounds and looks like she could fly with those ears.

No school in Minnesota today as there is a big snowstorm.  Yesterday she put on her brakes when they tried to take her outside and said nope, she's a southern belle who does not "do" snow! But I bet when she sees how much fun the boys are having she will forget herself and have a ball chasing them down the sledding hill.

  3. One thing for sure - that dog won't eat them out of house and home.
It's good for young kids, especially boys, to have a dog.
They can learn from the dog...........how to care and respect.
I am sure Mason will have heaps of fun.

Great to know that Delta airlines has this programe. I wonder under the circumstances does
    TURNIP TOP approve????????????
    Cheers

  10. Dear Cynthia, thank you for stopping by my blog and letting me know about the memoir book club. I look forward to learning more about it. I'm just learning how to market as a self-published author, and so I need all the help I can get!

Now about this new dog! How wonderful for your daughter and her sons. I didn't know that Delta did this. I always fly Delta when I go to visit friends in Idaho, and I've always been impressed with the airline. Now I'm even more so. I lived in Minnesota (Stillwater by the St. Croix River) for 38 years. I hope your daughter loves the state as much as I did. The cross-country skiing there is fabulous.

The photographs you shared just show how much the boys already love their new friend! Peace.

  11. She's adorable, but doesn't appear to have very thick fur. She might freeze in the snow.

  12. She needs a sweater coming from the south. She will be better next year because she will become accustomed to the colder temps gradually. She sure is cute! Chihuahua mostly I would guess:) Hope she got a cute name!
