DECEMBER 3 — A Delightful Smile

Today’s delight is a photo from my daughter of my grandson, proud to have lost a front tooth and anticipating a visit from the Tooth Fairy.
When you are six, losing a tooth is cause for joy and celebration. (Hm, not the same when you’re 10 or 12 decades older, is it.) A quick check with Google reveals that the average net gain from the night-flying  tooth fairy is now $4.03 a tooth; the last experience I had involving a tooth resulted in a $1000 deficit to the bank account!

No wonder Mason is smiling!
   Feel free to sing along.

  1. That kid's got a winning smile.

  2. Gorgeous smile.
Wow, expensive to lose a tooth :)

  3. What a sweet photo! We call that a "bicycle stand" in your mouth here :)

  4. That song was played for our granddaughter this week. She has a big gap where 3 baby teeth were. The third one in the middle just came out with dental floss tied on the bathroom door.

  5. The last kid I talked to who had lost a tooth told me that she had received $2 and that if I lost one of mine I should get $5 since mind are bigger!

  6. My mate Mason looks great - the costs of dentists - !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I'm amazed at how much the tooth fairy gives out these days. We used to give our kids 50 cents. When my granddaughter was losing her teeth, my daughter told me the going rate was $5!!! Good grief!
