The day after I rehung the birdfeeders, this guy was back at it. The squirrels have their own feeder with ears of corn to chew on, too, and this is the thanks I get!
If the feeders come down again, nobody gets seeds until some of this snow melts away. There's no way to set up the ladder.
Another round of snow coming tonight. Sigh . . . .
Ours are real hungry too, I think it must be breeding season or something... More snow, lucky you...we have gale force winds today, if the winds come your way with snow you will have a blizzard:(
Squirrels..they can be pests as you are finding out. I grew a few ears of corn annually until last year. The squirrels would visit during the summer; or at least one regular squirrel but they haven't been around for awhile. I didn't mind the visitor because there was plenty of other seed for the birds but too many birds too is not good for those plants I was to eat :-)

ReplyDeleteThat squirrel looks plenty fat from your bounty! We are having a "warming trend" a little above freezing, but I think more snow is on the way.
ReplyDeleteI don't know a great deal about squirrels apart from what they eat, and they look cute :)
ReplyDeletePersistent, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI'm convinced that squirrels are the smartest, most tenacious creatures around!
