Fish Haul Beach

Last night after a pounding storm, we walked Fish Haul Beach at low tide.

When we stepped from the dark, still-dripping woods into the light on the beach the first thing we saw was the fragment of a rainbow.

The sky changed by the minute as we made our way out to the water.

Armed with bug spray and ready to shoot. . . .

  1. Cynthia, I am jealous of your current residence because you live close to charming nature . But Imust live in the biggest conurbation in Europe

  2. Just lovely. I would enjoy walks around these parts though the bugs, not so much.

  3. Your photographs remind me of some of the landscapes I was admiring at a nearby museum yesterday.
And had it been me, instead of photograph that horrifying enormous beetle in your previous post, I'd have taken that can of bug spray and gone to town. (After screaming and running indoors at the sight of it, of course.)

  4. Sensible girl - armed to the teeth with the fly spray.
Quite a desolate looking place for a stroll.
You - he - and mossies!!!!!

  8. I can imagine the mosquitoes were getting hungry at that time of evening. Great shot of the fleeting rainbow!

  10. What a lovely place you have so close to you. I love all those little places that aren't "touristy" and allow you to enjoy nature in quiet.

  12. I love it when the sky changes its colors before my eyes. It feels like it's talking to me. You must have had a wonderful walk on that beach with this kind of sky.
