This Is Why I Don't Skydive

I got up this morning,

headed for the bathroom,

fell over an exercise bike,

and crashed head first into the French doors on the deck,

6 feet away from my side of the bed.

I have several stitches in a 3.5 inch gash in my head, a muscle relaxer for my neck, shoulder and upper back, and some pain pills.

My glasses are broken but they can be fixed. Just not today.

As we were leaving the emergency clinic, where he had been a model of sympathy and support, my beloved said:

" Took that corner a little wide there, didn't you?"

It really hurts when I laugh.

  1. Ouch! Did you break the glass in the french door too? Glad it wasn't any worse!

  5. Perhaps you should crawl to the bathroom next time! Half the time I trip over my own feet but luckily have caught myself before falling so far...knock on wood. I hope you are healing and your recovery is short and uneventful:)

  18. Oh Cynthia, bless your heart. Hope you feel better soon.I fully expect the same thing to happen to me. Every morning I stagger around trying to get to the light switch while stepping over sleeping animals. Just like a man to say something funny. I bet his comment made you feel better though. It would have me. Take care.

  19. No Cynthia - this is exactly why you should skydive, you've had a go without a parachute and you did remarkably well but next time you just open your parachute in full flight and you will float gently down to earth!!! Good job you can still laugh about it all :)
Have a lovely, maybe less adventurous day

  20. I hope you are feeling better and know you have company. Due to some weird fate my chair tipped and threw me out of it bruising my knee and breaking two toes. Guss it's a good thing I changed my mind when being rash at 18 I signed up for skydiving. :-)

Take it easy,, and avoid that patio door for a while. :-)
