Florida, the Sunshine State, lived up to its name today.
The temperature was perfect,
the wind non-existent.
Dinner was at Crab E Bill's on the water,
lobster bisque and blackened mahi mahi.
Entertainment was
provided
by the pelican fly team.
Cynthia - well that is by far a better view of Florida.
ReplyDeletePelicans!!!! It is a wonder they didn't join you, Paul and others
of the family at the table - your fish dish would have disappeared
in one fast gulp.
Pelicans are certainly "FAMILY FRIENDLY" here at beach resort
picnic and dining areas. They do not wait for an invitation
to join in - ha ha.
Cheers in between giggling at your Masterpiece Updated Portraits
overnight.
Colin
PS; So much for that expected storm here last night!!! A Fizzer
but a cooling breeze came up and saved me from the sauna conditions.
OH God - now February is just one day away!!! How I detest the February
weather - many times the Arctic looks lovely!
Oh I meant to also add the is a rather catchy name - "CRAB E BILLS".
DeleteI'm sure he wasn't "crabby", hopefully the "Bill" wasn't over the top also.
Yep - a very clever fish place name.
Cheers
Colin
Who would love to be at present in the water with those pelicans - stinking humid
still with useless skuds of rain, making it more humid in not so glorious Brisbane.
What more could you ask for?
ReplyDeletePelicans are my favorite sea bird and we call them our family birds. Remember that silly poem "What a funny thing is a pelican, its beak holds more than its belly can."?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful view with the pelicans.
ReplyDeleteWonderful view of the sea and birds.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy.
Reminds me of my summers in Destin, back in the day, before the condos! So beautiful. Love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteIf everyone up here in the cold North could realize their wish of being magically transported to Florida, the state would tip into the sea.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get much better than that.
ReplyDeleteAwesome entertainment! And your meal sounds fabulous. Glad the weather looks better.
ReplyDeleteLovely!! I'm back and you were my first stop xx
ReplyDeleteThe Pelican Fly Team! That is what they look like. I love that blue sky and blue water!! My sister and her husband have been in Florida for a week.
ReplyDeleteBlue skies, delicious food and pelicans for entertainment, What more could you want?

ReplyDelete(ツ) from Cottage Country Ontario , ON, Canada!
I found what the coon's been eating! Blue-ish berries... sort of a maple tree!
ReplyDelete@Cynthia, the coyotes, porcupines, steal the shedded antlers. I have little chance, methinks.
ReplyDeleteThe deer fighting are females! Most of our males still have their antlers. Highly unusual for the season, but it has been mild.
